Alden joined the lab in 2022 as a graduate student in the BME PhD Program. She received a BS in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois, followed by an MS in BME from the University of Miami.
Her research focues on the neural control of movements in the cerebellar nucleus. She engineered a new method to rejuvenate silicon probes, recoating them to reduce their impedance, thus allowing them to return to new condition and produce superb recordings from the brain.
