Tara joined the lab in 2019 as an MS student in the BME program, after completing her BS in Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at Florida State University, where she performed research in Alzheimer's disease, using high field strength MRI to detect amyloid plaques in the brain.

Tara led our efforts in using MR imaging to build a map of the cerebellum in the marmoset. When combined with CT imaging, the result was the ability to precisely guide an electrode and record electrophysiological activity from desired regions of the cerebellum.

Tara also led our efforts in behavioral testing of the marmosets. She examined motor adaptation in these non-human primates, and recorded their movements during error-dependent learning.
